EASHL/Online Team Play:
- Lowered the threshold to which a player is able to receive a puck cleanly to encourage more passing.

Hardcore Gamestyle Tuning:
- Lowered the effect protecting the puck has in resistance to being hit (either with protect puck or holding the puck out away from your opponent)
- Tuning for pokecheck changes that were added in the latest content update.
- Greater effect on ability to keep speed when spamming pokecheck
- An increase in the chance of a trip when spamming pokecheck into the skates of a puck carrier from behind.

How is the latest?

Sounds like more catering to online gamers. The tuner update that addressed spam pokers destroyed offline gaming so they changed it. This made on liners unhappy. Trying to please all, they recently made it to where if you spam poke you cannot skate as fast. This was good for offline and online and also realistic...on liners who spam poke were unhappy....so now the changes say they took away slowing down when poke checking but increased the chance of penalty...... Wash, rinse, repeat,....just please the online whiner of the day I guess and screw trying to make an NHL game playing anything that resembles the NHL...unreal. We all have our idea of what EA should do but as long as this games base AI is designed for both online and offline, us offliners are screwed. Unless EA decides to care about TRUE hockey fans and NHL fans as much as guys who want to play EASHAL and score 100 goals. Unless EA realizes that one tuner does not fit all and creates offline and online tuners.....were screwed

Notes BEFORE a tuner is released? Whoa there EA...

One thing I often wonder.. when it says "Hardcore Gamestyle Tuning" does that mean if you play on DEFAULT Hardcore? If you change one thing.. it goes to "custom" so I was just wondering if they stick as long as you start on Hardcore?

I would assume it sticks since hardcore is the baseline.....

I've just had the message about a new gameplay tuner.

If the last patch did enable us to choose between different tuners, as we could on last gen, it's about time they made all previous tuners available.

So now you can choose 1.00, 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04????

It asked me to choose which tuner I wanted to use for offline play.. From what I remember it offered original tuner or the latest.

Yes.. it asks if you want to use latest or the original.

Which are one and the same. the only tuner thing added in the patch was that you can now download it from the main menu, nothing about bringing back and selcting old tuners.

I figured. 1.00 and Latest are the same.

Right.. but it does ask you if you want to use the latest or keep using the original.. whatever that means.. but it's one or the other, not a way to choose which one.

Well I'm going to reset to base sliders as my first game since the tuner was terrible. Hockey should not be this hard to tune. Though the goalies seem better now. Ended up 4-3 loss in ot shots about 30 each. Too many big hits though,

Goes to show you how many people are tuner gun shy or just flat out stopped playing this game, virtually no posts on gameplay is with this tuner. I for one haven't downloaded it....lol

I played two games last night with as hardcore defaults except all penalties maxed, and goalie coverage maxed.

The AI took more hooking penalties, but I think only one tripping . but ingot 3 or so pp a game.

The AI still passes fast and instantly, but miss a bit more at least.

One wonky goal agints me but at least it was believe able. Still have up 5 in both games, but I am the oilers so.....

I felt stick handling in traffic had more looser pucks, so that's nice. Maybe just placebo though.
