I'm always humbled when I watch Hall of Fame umpire Doug Harvey's speech on being accepted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. One advise he gives, "know the rules of the game!" Having said that, EA, KNOW THE RULES OF THE GAME.
When a shooter rings a puck off the post and it goes out of play, the faceoff comes out of the zone, not in the zone.
When a skater goes offsides on a bang-bang play (pass), the faceoff does not come all the back into their zone. This rule is for intentional, blatant offsides.
If a player receives more then 2 major penalties in one game they are done for the game.
When a defensive player comes back to "touch up" a hybrid icing and slows down "coasting" to insure the puck crosses the goal line, the icing is waved off. This is an exploit!!!
When a faceoff occurs and a player keeps moving before the puck is dropped he should be kicked out of the faceoff circle. (Yeah I know this is not programmed in the game)
Vacuum cleaner board play is grabbing and should be called for obstruction-holding.
Defenders who dropped to the ice to block a pass/shot and trip a skater is never called for Tripping.
