Re: NHL 17 Impressions

I've just played my first game. 10 min full sim. Sj won 8-7 at Pit. No penalties for Pittsburgh. No neutral Zone plays. No (deflected) shots that go over the Glass or in the netting. It's the Little things that arent there. But Hey. Bobbleheads.... Yeah ea. Full sim. Go full sim yourself....every players feels the same. I hope that the sliders will work if you Change them. Otherwise i am done with ea's nhl.

Yep. Any impressions about team and player differentiation?

I'm not seeing any of this and have been playing since Tuesday. I've been keeping track and on Full Sim the penalty averages are 3.2 on me and 2.9 on the CPU.

Also have had a full range of 1-0 games up to a 7-5 game.

Way too early to say still, but initial impression is they feel more different than before due to the looser puck, but not as different as you may be hoping for.

You feel differences in puck control, shot accuracy and hitting but the NHL players are a bit too close skating (not speed, just feel).

Re: NHL 17 Impressions

Also - if you don't set up cycles in the offensive zone you won't see the proper amount of penalties against the CPU. If you rush up and down the ice then you aren't going to get realistic results (not saying anyone is, making an observation as I tried this for one game)

Re: NHL 17 Impressions

Agree. I def don't see a difference in the way each team plays as usual. Yes you can feel the speed of certain players and size difference. Also the difference in "toughness" while carrying the puck between a player like Kreider vs Zuccarello. I haven't upped the atrribute slider yet. Hoping this shows differences between players more.
