Franchisse mode - scouting tips

Does somebody have tips for scouting in the Franchise mode (NHL17)? I can't seem to get enough scouting reports. How do you guys scout?

Re: Franchisse mode - scouting tips

i usually just pick a position of need and spend a few 6 week scouting trips on that position. i'm the flames now and my position of need is goalies. I'm going to scout the 3 cHL leagues for all 6 weeks, then maybe spend 4 weeks on forwards for those 3 leagues.

Re: Franchisse mode - scouting tips

I'm going to the scouting screen, checking out the regions with under around 30 prospects in the position I'm looking for. Checking out to see what their projected draft round is. If there are a few 1st and 2nd rounders, I'll scout it for a few weeks and pin a few players. This last season, I scouted Russia Forwards (11) for 6 weeks and got full ratings on all of them. They were all projected to go within the first 3 rounds. If I go to a region and say I'm looking to scout "Goalies," I'll check out the regions prospects first and if 90% of them are projected to go "undrafted," I'd probably skip that region and look for another to scout.
