Long story short, 2 defenseman on my team go down for 2-3 weeks with injuries. Instead of calling up any defenseman from the AHL, my coach instead fills both spots with forwards. 3rd pairing defense are Sobotka and Brodziak. Wth!!! Anyone else see this?

I used to think this was simply an ai issue, but in my experimentation it seems to be related to a salary cap issue. The best way I've found to prevent it is by making sure there are plenty of D as the extra skaters on the 25 man roster to start your BaP.
