my 4th season in with the Minnesota North Stars and i found a Franchise (medium) goalie in the 4th round with the 103st pick. He was rated in the 300s so i figured he'd go undrafted but I had like 8 late round picks (5,6,7th round) so i figured if it was a miss I might as well take a chance

Look out for Chance Sopel in the 4th year of your franchise mode.

I know its an anamoly but have you ever hit big (Elite doesnt count) with a franchise level player late in the draft or even undrafted

Unfortunately the random created players are different to everyone's console, the game makes them up year to year, so the players you have will be different to everyone else.

I was lucky enough to pick up a Medium franchise Goalie in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft which was pure luck as I hadn't scouted his potential to 100% (4 bars), that's perhaps the best gem I have ever found.

I've found plenty of medium & low elites in later rounds in past versions of NHL though.

by the way i had only scouted him up to Starter (medium) so i mean i think i hit a grand slam. And in the 5th round I found an Elite (medium) goalie so I'm going to stacked in the net

These aren't really diamonds I feel, there's too many damn franchise goalies. After 5 years I've gathered around 8 Med Elite to Franchise goalies.

Has anyone else seen this? Are these guys actually developing into "elite" goalies?
