To be fair it is the same base game, but honestly this years version is a solid leap from 16, 17, and 18 IMO. Although that leap should be seen like this from say one year to the next, not 3 years a part. LOL

Yes I agree 19 is way better AI and offline experience than past iterations. I didn’t get 18 but past games got boring. They just need to implement new subtle differences in players.. skills, skating styles, size , aggressive, etc. I liked Gary Thorne and I like Mike Emrick . They should corroborate both of these in game . The presentation and graphics need to get to level of madden , nbA2k

On a big picture its same game since NHL 15, first on PS4. But skating, physics and many little detail is much better than on NHL 18. For Casual gamer there is no much difference, but guys who will notice and test every aspect of game there is plenty of little differences.

NHL 19 seems solid on offline at franchise mode and definately worth 30 bucks.

Hopefully next year they refresh presentation, also shooting and passing gets same attention than skating this year. Obviously AI is something where there is lots of potential to make huge difference, but i dont think they are going to make any major changes there. At least this year gameplay seems fair (with morale system off).
