Hockey Video Game

Ok... with Doug Flutie Maximum Football coming out in the fall, I have a question.

Is there a another HOCKEY game on the horizon? We all love hockey but how many of us really care about teams and players? IMO the game plays better with CPU generated players anyway. The only reason we play a certain team is because we are fans of said team...

I hope this comes true sooner than later because EA needs a challenger to make the games better!!!

Don't think we'll see a new hockey game coming. Bush League Hockey was a total flop, and the only other game that's actually been a pretty enjoyable experience is Super Blood Hockey, but that's basically "Ice Hockey" from the NES with automated goalies.

The market seems too small for anyone to dedicate enough resources into making a solid hockey game. I think our best bet might be metalhead (Super Mega Baseball) just because they've established themselves in the indie-sports scene, attracted a great cult following of their game, and are based in Canada.

They are working on a game atm I believe, but there's been no leaks and I certainly am not implying that it is a hockey game, I only mentioned them as they seem like the best "super long shot" chance at seeing a new, solid hockey experience come to consoles.

Yep, the link for 0.5 version is no longer available.
hopefully, you'll have more luck with the 0.7 build this Fall
