Good to hear. Sounds like they've made zero progress since...2011? 12? But it's about the 3rd change in commentary which doesn't really provide anything to the game play?

Re: NHL 20: Gameplay Impressions From Videos Released Across the Web

I’ve posted longer review in the beta impressions so this will be short.

Zero player separation

Zero difference between teams

Braindead A.I.

Arcade commentary and overlays

This game continues to take leaps away from anything resembling the league it represents and offers nothing to the offline season or franchise guy. This development team either doesn’t understand the sport in which they are creating a game for or simply don’t care to accurately represent it.

Re: NHL 20: Gameplay Impressions From Videos Released Across the Web

My suggestion is for you guys to support DJNEO and 2KHS on PC as that is the closest we get to some competition to EA.

Re: NHL 20: Gameplay Impressions From Videos Released Across the Web

They should fire the lead developer of gameplay at EA for NHL and hire DJ NEO. His mod for 2KHS on PC is amazing! Ultra-realistic, physics-based hockey simulation. Leaps and bounds better than the garbage we are getting from EA every year, and he's doing this all for free!

All the more reason to say **** YOU EA!!!

"In*NHL 20, it has been moved to the bottom, imitating the real-life tickers you see on television. The immediate benefit is all the screen real estate up top that’s reclaimed for gameplay."*

....Are you serious? When are scoreboards on the bottom of the screen? The ticker now takes up the entire bottom portion of the screen and not just a tiny amount in the upper left, that would also fade out when needed. It actively gets in the way of gameplay.*
