Re: NHL 20 Franchise Thread

I did the same as the Devils and lost the first game of the Cup. It was actually the most frustrating EA experience of all time. I got to the Finals and Devan ****ing Dubnyk of all people was unbeatable. Like I'd throw 60 shots a game at him and lose, he would stop every thing. I've seen the game go in superman mode to break a win streak before, but I've never seen six straight games of just utter nonsense like this.

Re: NHL 20 Franchise Thread

Been streaming my franchise over on twitch and YouTube (twitch.tv/rittflyers and rittflyers for YouTube). Just finished up season three with a Cup win for the Flyers!! Had a wild Conference finals vs the Devils, where we came back from a 4-1 deficit in Game 7 with 6 minutes left to win then knocked off the Oilers in Six games

Avs are up 2-1 on the Sharks after a 5-1 win in Game 3. Game 2 was ridiculous, an 8-7 OT affair.

Re: NHL 20 Franchise Thread

trick to those super goalies, like devon dubynk, u have to look for cross crease or have guy planted at side of net and try to get a 2 on 2 break away and wait for winger to get to slot for deflection into net or dirty goal, so alot of crashing the net and cycling the puck for guy in slot.

basicly strategies to use is overload, behind the net (crash the net works sometimes but not all the time)

powerplays to use is Umbrella , overload (i used to like shooting but... slot guy was always covered)

anyways am in NHL am 1-0-0 and AHL am 1-0-0
pre-season we went 6-1-0

am using vancouver canucks .

Re: NHL 20 Franchise Thread

So.. I Simmed the first season, we went 39-34-7 (NHL), 40-12-10 (AHL), NHL we lost in first round and AHL we lost in second found .

so... in off-season we went got tyler ennis and valdmir soboka, dude named russel and sam gagner and another dude, am playing with vancouver canucks and Utica Comets, i also got hired new staff and stuff and got alot of staff with High Teaching with A- and A .

I also modified sliders , for six minutes again, changed few stuff.

here is my current record now in second season : NHL GP 27 W 17 L 9 OT 1 P 35, AHL GP 22 W 19 L 1 OT 2 P 40, we are out scoring teams 8-6 or 7-4 or 6-4 or 5-4

are overalls are NHL OFF 91 DEF 90 G 85 , AHL OFF 73 DEF 80 G 73.

now we did have 2 injuries so are current NHL Overalls are OFF 91 DEF 88 G 85.

now in off-season , what i saw was we needed Centremen and LW and RW and Defensemen, i also traded alot of players and too to stock up on defensemen of 7 and centremen and Left wingers and right wingers.

with all these players this might my chance to win stanley cup in NHL and AHL.

wish me luck.

Re: NHL 20 Franchise Thread

so... I decided to try my hand at Franchise SuperStar Full Sim 6 Minutes again!.

this time am using detroit red wings, now this may be the most difficult mode to play in by far, i went and got james neal and wayne simmons , michael grabner, whole swack of good veteren defensemen, with ages of 27-36 and are lowest being 25 age, we lost first season, detroit red wings roster was a mess, nor did they have enough... right handed shooters for right wingers, so i went and got alot of right handed shooters.

second season in pre-season we went 1-6-0

start of season we are currently (NHL) 0-3-0 , (AHL) 1-1-0.

I also got rid of jonathan beriner and jimmy howard and brought in Cam Talbot and Jake Allen and Cory Schneider .

we have a stacked defensive core with the likes of :

Markus Nutivaara , Johnny Boychuk
Nick Holden , Trevor Van Riemsdyk
Derek Forbort , Michael Stone

spares defensemen : Luca Sbisa

now are forwards

Sven Baertschi , Dylan Larkin , Christian Fischer
Taro Hirose , Kevin Hayes , Wayne Simmonds
Michael Grabner, Jordan Weal , James Neal
Justin Abdelkader , Michael Rasmussen , Ryan Carpenter

injured players : Tyler Bertuzzi

had to call up from AHL : Justin Abdelkader
