Slap Shots and Wristers

I'm about 40 games into my season with the Leafs and I'm just not seeing either of these type of shots going in.
I've been using Al's sliders and made mention of it in his thread and made a change or two based on his feedback but still having issues.
For the last 10 or so games I've been using:
All Star
Shot accuracy 50
Power 55
Slap shot accuracy 50
Power 55
Goalie Reaction 45

I really don't know what else to change as I really don't want to nerf goalies much more as shots/Goals have pretty much been spot on except it seems to me that nearly all my goals are either one timers or rebounds.

Is anyone else seeing this??

That's the problem with this game,on all-star I find the only way I can score is deflections and rebounds.On pro you score when you have a good chance.More realistic.Just wish it was a bit harder.

so... I knew this would come up, so what am currently doing with goalie sliders, am currently testing this setting:


One Timer Accuracy: CPU: 45 or 42 or 40 or 35 or 10 / Human: 45 or 42 or 40 or 35 or 10
Shot Accuracy: CPU:47 or 46 or 45 or 10 / Human: CPU: 46 or 47 or 45 or 10
Shot Power: CPU: 65 or 60 or 55 / Human: 65 or 60 or 55
Slap Shot Accuracy: CPU: 45 or 46 or 42 or 10 / Human: 45 or 46 or 42 or 10
Slap Shot Power: CPU: 75 / Human: 75 (Tried 95 & 85 for both it was too fast and lazer beam so 85 or 90 or 75, but safest bet is 75 or 85)


am currently testing it in goalie mode all-star


I know am no expert, but I did see a lot of winding up for slap shots , more slap shot animations and one timers.


so... for players, I did have setting for it,

shot accuracy: CPU: 46 or 47 or 48 or 45 or 10 / Human: 46 or 47 or 48 or 45 or 10
shot power: CPU: 75 or 65 or 60 or 55 / Human: 75 or 65 or 60 or 55
slap shot accuracy: CPU: 45 or 46 or 42 or 10 / Human: 45 or 46 or 42 or 10
slap shot power: 97 or 95 or 65 or 60 or 55 / Human: 97 or 95 or 65 or 60 or 55


I'll let u change the settings to those if u want, make sum minor adjustments if u want, along the way.

I play on superstar, and I rock 52 WSA and 57 WSP. Slapshot I go 50 on both.

CPU goalies I have at 45 for both cross crease and reaction time. 100 screen effect and 95 persistence. I also heavily modify the other team’s strategies in-order to take away a lot of time and space from me.

I too rock a modified Tito set and this has given me great results. Unfortunately, I don’t see many tip goals, but I am seeing straight snipes for in as much as one-timers and rebounds. I actually have a really dynamic and fun experience playing the way I do.

I'm also using Al's sliders on all-star, but I've bumped the goalie sliders up on both sides (was seeing .850 save% on both sides of the ice).

Not sure if this will help, but:

I don't see a lot of slap shots go in, but for wristers, I'm finding that the biggest thing is getting the goalie moving. Cutting out of the corner when you're cycling the puck, or throwing a pass or two and then going short side seems to work for me.

Having spent some more time on this pretty much what I posted in my OP is yielding correct results now.
I have these set now as:
CPU Goalie Cross Crease 45
CPU Save Reaction 50
Shot accuracy 50
Power 55

Finally seeing clean wristers and slap shots beating the keeper when they should.
This is based on 6 min periods so if you are playing longer than you will have to adjust accordingly...
