I guess it is impossible for a "normal person" to get access to the basic statistics they used right?

The NHL roster has been a mess for so long, it's time to let the roster guys fix what EA apparently can't or they don't want to make any player upset over ratings.

I like that article, and I think going based on stats is a great idea. Though I would personally rather use a 3 season basis instead of 1 season, as much of a pain in the *** as it'd be to do.

In the work I've been doing for 2KHS I've been using stats from the last 2 seasons. As long as you have the data in a csv/excel like format it can be calculated programatically, so it's not twice the work.


Problem is I don't have access to stats that are useful for the goalies like this is, only the basic save%, GAA, shots, etc stats. It's not really possible to generate glove skill from that... What you can do is go the EA route and just increase/decrease everything.


Also speed and acceleration stats could use advanced statistics but I'm unsure anyone in NHL tracks this.

I agree with you on the goalie stats, I like the work that Cycloniac has done for his rosters, just wish EA had roster sharing for NHL instead of everyone having to use a USB or input all the ratings manually.
