Remember Madden 2002 where they gave you the new Houston Texans franchise with an expansion draft? Different sport, same company, but with competition...Ah, the good ol' days when EA seemed to give a sh*t about what it's customers wanted.Comment

that was so much fun - and then the ability to bring in the ncaa football draft picks - the incorporation of those two titles. But yeah, I LOVED that feature - trying to build the Texans up from a crummy group of castoffs lol.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Damn, good ol' days for sure.
How we have lost so many features from 20 years ago makes no sense to me. I am frustrated with EA for slapping roster updates and saying its new games with minimal improvements, I'm frustrated with them selling a "CHEL" game instead of a hockey game for hockey fans, frustrated that 2K/another developer isn't making alternatives (remember when we use to get around 3-4 hockey games a year), and I'm frustrated with a portion of the fanbase that will keep buying regardless.Comment

Expansion Draft has been in the game for a few years though and I believe they did confirm the KrakenDamn, good ol' days for sure.

Yes for me its the frustration of the fan base that keeps buying the game and convincing EA that they are on the right trackDamn, good ol' days for sure.

So we still don't have roster sharing which I figured as much. At least they could let us do a franchise mode where we could control all teams so we could keep up with the trades and enjoy GM mode without turning trades off or having wacky trades...this is really what I've been searching for.
I'll probably get it next year to have all the teams. It's no fun playing older versions with better rosters but having to leave a team out due to expansion.I Want My $2 Dollars

If I'm not mistaken, I think one of the NHL's this gen did let you do the expansion draft as the Golden Knights, so I don't think it's too unlikely for a Kraken expansion, either this, or next year.
(Agreed with your general point though, EA was much better back then, than it is now)Comment

If you decide to buy, buy in deep sale from private at end of January when AHL waiver ist cleared and a good Roster is available. They don’t deserve the money from our pocket. So we still don't have roster sharing which I figured as much. The game still lets you add a 32nd franchise and run the expansion draft either as the new team or as an existing team where you decide which players to protect in the expansion draft. That feature has been in since Vegas was added. I suppose we will lose it once Seattle is established in the league, ie their second year, as having 33 teams would most make scheduling and divisions a nightmare to program. If I'm not mistaken, I think one of the NHL's this gen did let you do the expansion draft as the Golden Knights, so I don't think it's too unlikely for a Kraken expansion, either this, or next year.
