Franchise Salary Cap Bug?

Is there a bug in franchise mode involving the salary cap? I turn the CPU head coach off and salary cap off. Go to start a franchise with detroit and all of my lines are messed up. Bertuzzi and Mantha are on free agents. WHAT IS GOING ON??

Bertuzzi and Mantha technically are free agents. They are restricted free agents which means they do not have a contract and Detroit has rights to match any offer sheet a team extends to them or gain draft pick compensation. Just go to the free agent list and sign Bertuzzi and Mantha to bridge deals and they will be back on your roster
