Franchise playable out of box no updates?

I’ve been playing NHL straight for 20 years- I only do offline franchise mode. I don’t have online capability unfortunately so I was wondering if this year is playable with no patches, just straight out of the box?

For reference I’ve done the same with madden 21 and NBA 2k21, so I’m ok with small quirks.

1.0 version have problems with player trade values, some players have random trade value. Also for D-men game shows wrong chemistry info. It should show what defence pairing player fits, but you can only see for what offence line that D-men fits.

Also rosters are very old at 1.0 if that brothers you.
