Difference in gameplay NHL 21

Not sure if anyone has played EASHL lately... but it feels like they have fixed some of the cheese. We have played 8 games, but have seen a VERY IMPROVED goalie play specifically on the cross creases.

We have won 7/8 of those games because we actually play hockey, cycle the puck, break it out of the zone, and get back on defense. The game we lost was 1-0 and the other team was spectacular, clogging up the neutral zone, and making it tough for us to get any good looks. It actually felt like they were the better team. Only goal scored was on a power play.

Every other team we have played has tried to do the typical speed past defender and cross crease and have only been successful once. There have been some unbelievable saves both for us and against us. It has been an awesome experience and nothing seems automatic. I have also noticed great neutral zone play which is something I have never been able to say about online play.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this in their games, but it has actually been enjoyable to play the last week or so. Of course they do that right before the new game comes out lol. Happy, nonetheless.

I noticed the same in my current Season in Franchise mode. Goalies some spectacular saves. To score now in cross crease more difficult. Gameplay differs from before. In my opinion maybe a Test what we will get in NHL 22.
