Ice is Gray?

I am sure this is my TV (LG C1 OLED) but this is the only game I have run into an issue like this.

The ice is basically gray on my screen. Anyone else seeing darker than usual ice?

In certain cuts scenes or replays it's gray but for gameplay it's white for me.

I have the C7 OLED and it's the same for me. Only game that is like that, looks weird.

Those with OLED (I have the CX) I assume you're experiencing ABL kicking in when in HDR game mode?

I noticed its not bad when playing true broadcast or turning off HDR mode.

I have the LG BX OLED and was thinking the same, that the ice was a little gray and the arenas in general had this strange darkness to them depending on where the puck was in contrast to the lighting

Are you saying you turned off HDR mode from the PS5/XBOX? Or did you change the video mode on the TV itself?

If so, What video mode did you switch to?

The game will look good at the start, then get to the opening faceoff and it will dim and then there are brightness fluctuations all throughout a game, especially in the defensive zone.

I know for a fact others are experiencing the brightness fluctuations in the defensive zone even without an OLED, so something is going on. I've noticed this happens a lot with the NHL series.

I turned off HDR mode within the PS5. It's a simple process. It definitely helps with the dimming, but the colors are somewhat dull of course compared to HDR mode.

i like the gray more honestly, (LG c7).

nhl 19 destroyed my tv with burn in with calibrated settings, i had the nhl scoreboard burnt into the bottom of my screen and then a big patch in the middle where the ice would shine the most. with the HDR this year, plus the new screen LG put on the tv i feel like it looks alot better even though i'm scared to play it on this TV long term.
