NHL22 Penalties

I am really struggling again this year to get a realistic amount of penalties called in games.

In 5 franchise games I have had 3 powerlays.

I have maxed out penalty sliders and changed penalties to 4/4 in settings.

Has anyone tinkered and found a way to get a decent amount of penalties???

The only thing I can think of is the aggression sliders. I haven't started my franchise yet but maxing that slider for CPU/HUM might allow for more penalties.

Some of the slider folks can chime in but in my play now games I'm lucky to see 2-3 called total. I'm not sure what they did to mess that up this year.

I used to be super into getting things right in this game, especially penalties, but much like EA does with patches, I found I’d fix something and ruin two different things. Over the years many of us have tried to figure out exactly what adjusting one slider may do to another which became a lesson in futility. For years we’ve struggled with penalty sliders and aggression sliders. I’ve recently started wondering about the period length and penalty time scaling and how that may affect the game.? In theory if a real NHL game sees an average of 4 pp a game then playing on 10 min might only average 2. Maybe it’s a combo of period length, penalty time scaling, penalty sliders, and aggression. I wish I had the energy to pursue this but EA sucked the spirit out of me years ago and I play with very little expectations now.

For the first time in a lot of versions, I actually have no issues with penalties and have thought about reducing. Averaging 3-4 per team per game. Have even seen a single team get as much as 7 in one game.

I am playing on SuperStar, 6 minutes. Maxed out penalty sliders for CPU and human player. For the penalty types sliders, I started all them at maxed, but have reduced delay of game and interference as they were called too much. Not sure if all the other sliders I have set are influencing my experience with penalties, certainly could be.

But for me, feeling really good about it.

I'm in the same boat. I'm getting a good ammount and variety of penalties.

I’ve been using Altito’s penalty sliders,most of them maxed out. I’m getting fair amount of penalties so I’m good here as well.

Last game my team got 9 power plays , while cpu got 3. Likely will be looking to reduce.

I am getting a fair amount of penalties as well. Super star difficulty, penalties maxed.
