I don't really feel they "nerfed" them, but more that they made it random when before you had to set them up and score them manually by holding B (Circle) on the controller.

So many things that were in the game back in the day, they completely reworked to be random in today's versions so it would make the game "easier" for the casuals. It's not just an EA thing either... More and more companies are dumbing their games down for the sake of sales, it's sickening.

TBH I would want a completely different hockey game. I don't think I've played a significant amount of on-ice action since NHL 12 LOL.

I just hope that franchise isn't broken and gets a new feature or two.

Better fore-check play.

They need more/better animations. Only having 2 players being able to have an animation for being pinned against the boards is lackluster to say the least. Especially when you have 3-4+ during real games, and all you need to do with the 2 player animation is poke-check and the puck is yours....terrible.

also, bring back the AHL too and other leagues too, so if we struggle in NHL we get sent down to AHL if we struggle in AHL we get sent down to CHL too.

Better puck physics and how about some net movement too (like in FIFA). I can't stand how the puck bounces of the net like it's hitting a brick wall.

Custom sounds.

Having realistic goal songs back, your own sounds playing during breaks in play, custom main menu songs (I have a whole playlist of past NHL main menu songs) would help.
