Re: EA Sports UFC Interview with Director Brian Hayes
I listened to the entire interview...... There really wasn't any new information at all. The interviewer asked about demo details and game mode details and stuff like that but Brian responded with the "can't talk about that yet" to just about everything. The interview really wasn't worth the 27 minutes. Here are the key points I took from it, to save you the time.....
-Gameface included
-DLC will be included (No specifics on what or who or when)
-EA hasn’t settled on a demo release date yet
-One punch knockouts will be factor based (Fighter ratings, level of stamina, position, etc). Extremely unlikely to see a weak striker win by one punch knockout. -

There are some things we will have to wait it seems to find out about. Specifically about the submission system, the clinch system, the parry system etc. Just going to have to wait until the demo drops it seems to get any real sort of information or gameplay.Last edited by Coolade; 04-18-2014, 07:01 PM.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC Interview with Director Brian Hayes
For those of you that aren't aware...
The only questions that are allowed to be asked are about features that have already been announced. They can't share everything, yet. Every once in a while you get a little nugget here and there.
Another thing. While most of the hardcore OS guys already know about the things mentioned in this interview, there are many that don't even know the game exists, or Bruce Lee is involved in any way.
I totally understand the frustration though, but you have to keep it in perspective. I've asked plenty of questions, but if they can't be answered, there is no need to throw up an interview that has a bunch of "I can't answer that right now" or "We will reveal something about that soon" type of stuff.Comment

So nothing about GM Mode then I'm assuming. EA plsComment

Why does it seem like EA is hiding this game? Why not show us but 1 trailer when the game is coming out in 2 months? Show us some gameplay, I'm tired of screenshots.Comment

EA UFC is 2 months away. Thats not hiding the game. Its called a marketing plan/rollout.Comment

There was also a 60 minute stream of the game on IGN though. But yeah the marketing plan is just being extremely slow. They seem to be releasing a developer diary every 3 weeks. There should be about two of them left, plus maybe it will be on the show floor at E3 a week before its release. It's just hard to be patient is all aha. Need MLB the show to pass the time.Comment

E3 wont really matter because there is a decent chance the demo will be out by then.
I just dont get the impatience. The game comes out June 17 no matter what. If EA is hiding the game like Bad Intentions said....dont buy the game. If all they show is hype trailers and screenshots by release...dont buy the game. Thats what people did with Live.
I swear I say this with every major release but no one has ever provided evidence to show that providing minutes or hours of gameplay months before release helps sales. If anything, people take that gameplay and nitpick the hell out of it.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC Interview with Director Brian Hayes
If anything, I think the EA Sports UFC team has given us WAY more info than any other next-gen sports game so far. While it isn't much, they started rolling out the roster reveal months ago. And like aholbert said, they've released multiple trailers. I think they're pretty proud of the game judging by the trailers.Comment

When was that stream? It had to be in the last two weeks because I remember nothing from Sony at the two month mark.

Re: EA Sports UFC Interview with Director Brian Hayes
I just hope the game will have a CPU vs CPU option.
EA MMA didn't have that.
Fight Night Champion did.
Surely, that is something they will include.Comment
