Re: For new users from the EA Forums

Took me a day, and like 20 posts before I could post my own threads. Nothing crazy.

Well I'm here now, so thanks for the welcome.. Kinda odd how the old forum just disappeared, but oh well.. Will miss the place, but better make the most of what we got here then.

Haha. I think we all felt that way. It came out of nowhere.

I was away from the old forums for like a week, came back and it was gone. LOL.

This place isn't too bad at all though. The mods take things seriously, so that's cool.

Re: For new users from the EA Forums

I was able to pull my TSC control scheme off of the old forums
Since I am new from the old forums, I suppose this would be an acceptable place to post it:

Just the changes listed, *everything else would stay as it is now*

Total Strike Control, Standing controls -

L2 + A - takedown attempt

L1 + Y - clinch attempt

L1 + R1 + L2 + left stick - 360 head movement

Right stick - Total Strike Control (Swoops for different strikes)

Right stick - head punches

L1 + Right stick - power head shot

L2 + Right stick - body punch modifier

L1 + L2 + Right stick - power body shots

L2 + R1 + Right stick - All kicks. 11 - 2 and 1 - 10 o'clock swoops for head kicks.
9 - 12 and 3 - 12 swoops for body. 5 - 3 & 7 - 9 swoops for leg kicks.

L1 + R1 + Right stick - Power kicks. Same mechanics.

+ R2 to all bumper and/or trigger modified strikes to perform feints

Hold R1 (R2 body) + flick R (match direction) - parries punches & kicks

Hold R2 + flick R (match direction - 5 & 7 o'clock) - checks leg kicks

X (or any face button) - counter grapple

R2 + Y - deny clinch

R2 + A - deny takedown

Re: For new users from the EA Forums

I'll try not to mention this again, but I wanted to drop my little two cents. I don't know how things worked on the EA forums, but based on the influx of posts I've seen since the recent migration, I can only assume it was like the wild west over there. I've been posting about MMA here since before we even had an official section on the site; and throughout that time, I don't recall ever seeing as much negativity and general nonsense in posts as I do now. It's honestly making this section a lot less fun to visit.

To the new guys: this place isn't a dictatorship or anything like that, but constructive posts are really valued here. Insults, accusations and all other forms of that type of trash isn't really needed. Please be mindful of that, because it makes the board so much easier to read when you don't have to sift through a bunch of BS.

And please don't get it twisted either, this is generally a pretty fun and lively place. Most of us on here have senses of humor, believe me. Nothing wrong with cutting up and all that, but I really hope we can clean the MMA area up a bit and get this place back on track.

You would swear I some how stumbled into some Real House Wives reality show with a bunch of women just bitching and complaining 24/7, at least that is how it has become. Lost everything that use to be enjoyable about coming to this forum.

I trust the staff to clean things up once the "grace period" for the migrating UFC forum-goers expires. It's definitely very wild-west right now.
