There should be at least some difference, right now at least with my sub fighter, i may as well just instantly go for a sub instead of trying to wear someone down/try to weaken them first..

Why make the sub area redden, if damage to it doesn't actually matter?

I think it goes into scoring logic

This year damage seems to play a pretty big factor in decisions. So my theory is that the closer the submission is to finishing(the more damage the body part takes) the higher it is scored by the judges.

I get what you are saying, I just dont want people to exploit a concept like this. Kick the leg a bunch then go for a kneebar...sounds pretty corny you know?

So is not allowing us to go for subs when we knocked a guy down rocked, and in the FTF animations. Limb fatigue/damage can make it easier for some subs in real life. Would be nice to see that.

Re: Submissions..

Submissions are a bit wonky for me in this game. Rarely has stamina been a factor in those submissions. Whenever I do a flying submission on a fighter with full stamina it feels like a cheap win. I get most frustrated when I get submitted when I have near full stamina and my opponent has none. Some players are really good at the submission mini-game or maybe I am just really bad.

Re: Submissions..

I dislocated my knee a few weeks ago rolling during a simple positional transition. A freak injury, but I put it back in place and have since been rolling with a knee sleeve on. I'm rolling hurt and am deliberate with my positional movement, but I guarantee my submission defense hasn't changed. If I were to get caught, I would only be less inclined to fight the sub in the lock out state because of the injury. My ability to defend submissions and attempts would definitely be more difficult if I were gassed. It's about that cardio son, that's an art in itself and crucial to the game. You can literally see guys drop belt levels the longer they roll.
