There needs to be a lower OVR cap on UT

Alright. When UT first started, it was an absolute breath of fresh air. Mainly because, the OVR were so low. It made you fight strategically, not to drain your stamina. That is what made this mode so much better, IMO, than ranked. But now, since everyone is buying more cards, and ranking up, UT has turned into a spinning kick, spinning bat fist, and OP'd CAF festival. I really think they should considered not letting any CAF be anything or 75 OVR. You should be able to have all the move sets you want, because being able to customize your fighter is one of the most appealing aspect about it, but the moves themselves shouldn't give you ANY points toward your Attributes.

Yea i am not a fan of limiting CAFs either.

My best CAF is an 80 overall. I fought a 98 OVR caf yesterday.

When you're in division 2 with 70 OVR that is anything but a boxer, YES!

Hell I'd be cool with an OVR cap of 90, or even lower, to be honest.

Really...the big problem in UT was the whole 'delete a fighter to grind coins in division 1 and 2' --- not only did it totally RUIN the leaderboards, much worse: People got 'easy coins' and just buffed up their main character or two with their ill-gotten gains.

Plus, true newbies in division 1 and 2 probably got blasted by these guys who should be in much higher divisions, and I'm sure they really had fun with that

So yea...I'm up for a cap in UT but somewhere around 90 would be fine...I don't think we would have much of a problem re: OVR 75 fighting OVR 90 --- IF there hadn't of been the whole exploit of deleting and re-creating characters to farm lower divisions. But the cat is already out of the bag on that one

Does that mean it's not worth it, I'm gunna try and make a Tito Ortiz caf and use him but I know all the top players are milking div.1 and 2 and I don't feel like fighting high lvl stat cafs when i just a start. Not fun at all!!!

The guy was ok. We went to decision and I lost via split. But in the right hands I am sure a 98 is a death sentence.

If someone drops a grand on UT before they even start a fight I don't see why they shouldn't be able to use the Stat boosts... I'm against deleting fighters just to stay in div1/2 but you really can't regulate it much. Personally, I have a 99 stand up wbw and I can't get out of division and often get relegated... I feel bad when I figure out I whooped a newbie but I can't go easy because I never know the stats prefight.

There is a problem with matchmaking however, I recently fought an 0-4 while being div3. ..

I'd really like to see the OVRs keep you out of certain divisions. If you have a 70 OVR fighter, you shouldn't be allowed in Division 1. 75, no Division 2. Etc. Unless you lose so much that it allows you to go down a division. This way the less skilled fighters can still go back down, but any competitive player would not. People aren't going to take lots of losses to fight easier opponents, and if they do, that is just sad on a whole 'nother level.

its not gona make a diffrence because ppl can make a dummy player to farm coins or buy packs with real money

I played a 92ovr when I was 87ovr (89ovr now) and that was the highest I had played on the game. 98ovr just seems WILD to me.

I don't believe in a cap on UT fighters though. Defeats the purpose of "Ultimate Team".

to be honest I have no problem with people paying to win --- I won't do it, but if they want to, more power to them. Hopefully EA will use that $$$ as justification to invest more into UFC 3

The whole 'delete a character to farm' thing...though...COULD HAVE been prevented (or at least mitigated) with some foresight by EA.

i.e. You get 5 'free' deletes (one for each slot) -- afterwards, you only get one delete per week.

I know hindsight is 20/20...but comeon, it should have been pretty obvious that people would exploit this ----

My two best fighters are a 70 and 72 and I've never left Div. 1 yet. I do a lot of Single Player (maybe 75 fights total) and I've been able to build them up using my Ultimate Version giving me 2 Premium Packs a week. That being said, up until a week ago I was basically 0 - 17 in Online. I just now have got a sense for the game combined with a bit of stats and my current record is 13-37 between my 4 fighters (OVR 68, 69, 70, and 72). I'm just about out of Div. 1 with two of my guys. I've never seen Div. 2 yet.

Point being, you can't keep people out based on OVR alone. Like you said, take into account their record as well. My worst guy, who is a 70, is a sad 1-16.

I haven't found in my 50 fights anything of what I keep hearing complaints about, fighting way big OVR's and remember, I have never left Div. 1. And if I do encounter some that are slightly above my level, which I think I've seen a 75 last night, well, it's just one. I think I did beat a 73 or something with my 68 and they had over 100 fights on that fighter alone (with a 40% win ratio), vs. my 9. So that made my night mostly because they disrespected me throughout the fight but it wasn't me who was knocked out in the end!
