Re: You best trick or tip since playing

I believe i have 3 of the best tips in here so far that are Grappling orriented.

1)If you use head movement to slip at least 3 strikes, you can do a heavy takedown or a normal takedown or a mauy thai clinch etc. and all of them are 100% unblockable even with pre-emptive block.

2)You can pre-emptively deny takedowns and clinch by holding R2/RT and holding right Stick Up or down, isntead of trying to time it.

3)When you are on top of the sprawl position, where it's really easy for your opponent to escape, many fighters like GSP,Rampage Jackson, don't have a normal guilotine choke submission. Well there is a submission denial in that position, that even those fighters with no normal guilotine choke have, where you hold R2/RT + L2/LT + UP when your opponent attempts to get up into overunder and it immidietly reverses the getup into a guilotine choke 2 gate submission. It's really tricky however and you have to time it in comparison of the spamable the over under getup block.

Yes, that position and in particular, Double Underhooks, don't have enough 'control' in my opinion

Patience. In everything. I got this from learning all of the transition denials from every position. Once I knew everything that could happen to me and how to stop it I could sit in clinch or guard and still feel in control.

I think most bad players try to have offense be their best defense. They rely on getting their transition or strike off first and go from there. If you stop whatever they are trying to do initially its all downhill..unless you slip up and get finished, which patience helps.

I think this works without making them miss as well, but only with the forward sway. Not sure about side, but def not backward. Unless you gain advantage on backward take downs (double leg) if you sway backwards. I haven't tried yet.

Learning how to hold ppl in crucifix when you are getting worked on the feet. It's the best way to win a round if your getting punched a lot and it's a good way to get back stamina and just control the fight for a lil while. I love it and I always try to KO ppl from there and also back flat has worked well for me once you get the timing on when to baby punch then posture up and knock them out quick.
