    Failed Takedown Attempts

Okay, this should be my last thread for awhile until I can come up with something else that should be looked into.

If your fighter is a wrestler, a striker, a whatever, if I deny more than 20 takedown attempts in a 3-5 round fight you should have NO STAMINA! I am so sick of desperate players who spam takedowns, and yet they can still throw a 4 piece combo by round 5 after 20+ failed takedown attempts. I don't care if you're Brock Lesnar on roids, if I avoided the majority of your takedowns, more than humanly possible in an MMA fight, you're getting knocked out! You should be looking like Carla Esparza against Joanna by your 15th failed takedown attempt, not a fresh fighter who can go another 5 rounds. Please for the love of all that is right in this world, fix this. I have no problems with takedowns, I do have a problem with denying over 20 of them and my opponent still being able to fight by round 3 or 5.

Also let's say my opponent lands 3 out of 20 takedown attempts, does that have any effect on scoring criteria? Will my opponent be punished for failing 17 takedown attempts or do those 3 successful takedowns count more favorably?

Have you tried staying in dominant sprawl until you get submissive sprawl to over under guillotine reversal? It's only 2 gates iirc.

      Re: Failed Takedown Attempts

I wish the game had it so that the opponents wouldn't automatically turn along when moving, like if the opponent isn't actively circling or pivoting but is stationary you should be not limited to angles. So it should be possible to angle back takes off failed takedowns etc

So the possibility of taking substantial angles is limited, there is no way to have your opponent be facing away from you with footwork because it seems the opponents will automatically slide and rotate on the ground along to force a neutral angle.

For example even in practice mode you cannot get your opponent at angle with their back facing you; the opponent will automatically slide along to always be facing you. You can get slight angles during scuffles with timed steps etc, but you can't create substantial angles.

I definitely agree; missed takedowns need to really zap your stamina.

Especially if you miss 'grinding' takedowns where you really struggle for it but fail.

I also think that clinch and ground work ought to take more permanent stamina off, especially if you're the one getting transitions denied and/or taking dirty boxing strikes/ground and pound.

              Re: Failed Takedown Attempts

The solution will be that all fighters have the move to deny a takedown and go to side control on top.
And all fighters too have the possibility to kimura or guillotine counter takedown, what a wonderful idea but poorly built in the game, for exemple, guillotine counter doesnt work on power takedown and double leg takedown
