Re: The biggest issue with the Submission switch mechanic

Green Switch is a cool concept; but a bit overpowered (especially a couple subs in particular; you all know which ones )

Hope they add a couple more nuances to the sub game in UFC 3.

i.e. you can only do a green switch if you have a significant stamina advantage over opponent; or maybe several more points in sub offense than sub defense; or a combination of the two, etc

So if stamina were 100% equal between the two --- he has 80 Joint Defense and you had 100 Joint Submission --- Switch is easy to make, and is devastating ---- if you have 80 joint submission and he has 100 joint defense; you can't even ATTEMPT a switch

I've only lost a very small # of fights via Submission. 95%+ of them were from the Kimura switch or the triangle switch. I deserved some of those losses for sure, but some were pretty...yea...bogus

Also the rear naked choke from backsitting to the green sub switch to armbar is not realistic.
RNC is by far the most successful submission in the UFC but in game there is no point doing the 5 gate when you can switch to the armbar.

Does anyone feel the submission finish rates in the game are a bit off when it comes to RNC?

RNC from back sitting is 3 gates
Pure armbar from back sitting is also 3 gates
RNC/armbar switch is 3 gates too

The only reason to switch is when you don't have an armbar from back sitting but your joint subs are higher than your choke subs
