I really dislike the new camera.
It doesn't follow you wherever you go like it did in UFC 2 (and any other fighting game ever). Instead, if you or your opponent are circling (which you should be), the camera will pan all the way out to the cage. This creates some weird instances where the controls get messed up and your fighters can't even land strikes. Sometimes you will even switch left/right positions. It's terrible. I don't know if this was a by product of the new stand up mechanics, but something has to give.Tags: None -

Re: I really dislike the new camera.
You need to follow the camera and start moving the stick up and down, instead of left and right, to move towards the opponent. So when we hold the stick left or right, like you would in any other fighting game, the camera starts to shift, orientation changes, and all of the sudden you are no longer moving in the direction you are inputting any more.
I think this "dynamic" camera is actually the reason why the movement feels so weird, and why there is a seemingly lack of precision, and intent in your movement.
It's actually the camera moving around messing everything up.

Whatever he was doing was making it basically impossible for me to even move. Left wasn't left. Right wasn't right. That camera is a mess.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: I really dislike the new camera.
I think I figured out the issue. The new "dynamic" camera is actually constantly changing control orientations throughout the match while it pans all over the place. Not only when it does the extreme left to right switch, the camera is actually constantly changing angles, and as it does this, the direction of control orientation changes also. So essentially, left doesnt stay left, and right doesn't stay right.

Re: I really dislike the new camera.
The way the camera works now, it takes control away from the player; by changing control orientation mid movement, your controls change without you realizing.
Which is why people are feeling a disconnect in the movement, and why some people are saying the game feels weird. The actual movement is great, and animations are great, but the camera changing control orientation messes with your control, movement, and perception.
At somepoints, it just feels weird, but at other points, it has a very real detrimental impact on gameplay. I've had this camera flop up happen a few times now after my opponent was rocked and I could no longer close distance on them because my controls no longer functioned properly. I've also seen players manipulate the camera on purpose, like in the example video I posted, to hamper my own movement, and alter my controls. Other players have mentioned seeing their opponents exploit this on purpose after being hurt to abuse the camera/control issue and get out of danger.
The camera absolutely needs to be fixed, and is borderline game breaking at this point.
Also, as mentioned by others, the settings in the EXTRAS menu to change the camera only works for OFFLINE play.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: I really dislike the new camera.
Yes! The 360 camera movement is messing up my lunges and attempts to run. I lunge "forward", but by the time I press the stick "forward" again to start running, "forward" has changed and I don't run.
The camera is spinning all over the place. Sometimes it's behind my opponent and I can't even see myself because he's in the way. It's a mess!Testing.... Testing....
