Body 1 2 KOs

Does anyone have any real life examples of body 1 2 KOs in the UFC?

For as common as it was in EAUFC1&2, you'd think at every UFC event now fighters would be aiming for those body 121212s.

It really undercuts more practical body work you actually see in real MMA fights, as people online tend to exploit strategies with the most reward with little risk.

The claim is this has been largely fixed in EAUFC3 with vulerablity; but I just don't see how the community at large would abandon what seems to be the dominant strategy of EAUFC without some serious rehabilitation.

Vulnerability does fix it, like a lot. You time 1 good uppercut or knee and most players will stop throwing 1-2s to your body frequently, especially since body 1-2s have no stopping power, so it's really easy to do reactively even if you get hit.

While true - I do believe that the stamina drain from body shots (especially 1/2 combo) is far too much.

I actually think it's fine, it's just people throw a lot more volume to the body in 3 than they would IRL because people aren't good at countering it yet. Perhaps the 1-2 specifically could do with a nerf, but body shots in general are fine. This is basically something I want to wait a while on to see if it's not a problem once players get better before I start calling for changes.

I'm just saying hooks/uppercuts should be far more effective at draining stamina / dealing damage as there's more risk with them.

So are there no examples of real life body 1 2 finishes?

JDS uses body jabs quite a lot. He used a ton vs Rothwell.
