Reward on lower tier fighters

I cant find the logic to the reward sistem. I just had 4 back to back fights:

1.Marlon Moraes (B) vs Dominick Cruz (A+). KO win, title fight. I win 10 points.
2. Stephens (B+) vs Mcgregor (A+). KO win, title fight. I win 12 points.
3. Matt Brown (B) vs Nick Diaz (A?). KO win, non title fight. I win 6 points.
4. Renato Carneiro (B) vs Mcgregor (A+). KO loss, non title fight. I lose 15 points.

In UFC 2 you had a mini breakdown after every fight, detailing the reason you had X points. I dont understand why that option has been removed, it would make everything more clear.

Pretty sure your opponents comparative rank plays a role.

If a Div 6 player fights a Div 1 player as CM punk fighting GSP, he'll gain little if he wins and drop significantly if he loses. (Though that kind of fight obviously shouldn't ever happen)

I get that, ranking plays a factor like before patch. But it seems to be the only factor, I really dont see any significant difference now.

I noticed a difference before, but now that im division six i dont. I lost 20 points playing as caraway against dillashaw. I then won 2 points beating McGregor with Dooho. Was excited about this part of thte patch at first but i learned it wasnt worth it. Its the reason guys in the top 10 soley use certain characters.

Exactly, its not worthy ranking wise, which was the whole point.
The only difference is that they told us, but no evidence so far.

It's actually not that different from normal play, I don't feel like it's been too big of a disadvantage since I already played so many fights and can remember when to strike. It makes me a little bit more conservative since I don't know where their stamina is at, for example if they whiff a strike that depletes their stamina I can't tell. Also determining body/leg damage is a little harder since you don't have the white blinking signals and only can tell if you rock them.

I have noticed a slight difference since 1.06 patch / Season 3 started

As an example, I like rolling w/ Rampage (B+ Fighter) @ LHW and if I beat a Cormier (A+ Obviously) who is ranked 'about' where I am --- I will get like 14 or 16 points, if I lose, maybe l'll lose 10

(if we were both Cormier and I won, would have probably earned about 10 points, and if I had lost, lose about 12 points)

Haven't kept a spreadsheet lol but I do notice fighter rank does matter.

That said, I wish they would increase the importance of the Fighter Selection some more. Choosing a B or B+ fighter against an A+ fighter is a HUGE disadvantage...yuuuuuge...and should be compensated as such.

Right now it's just 'sorta compensated'. Which is better than nothing! But I hope they consider giving a couple more points to people when they use B or B+ type fighters.....or conversely, when people use A+ Fighters and LOSE to B-level fighters, they need to lose more points
