Bring parrys back for straight strikes only

I know people hated them but it was more mechanics behind them then the parries themselves. If parries were in the game with no counter bonus and only straight strikes how would you feel? Itd help reduce block breaking greatly. You could even stamina tax it.

100% yes. Parrying is such an integral aspect of striking.

Like you said, it's not the parry people hated. It was being artificially frozen in place for a magical free counter strike that people hated.

Re: Bring parrys back for straight strikes only

IMO the tracking of the second strike after a jab has to be tuned ...I might be biased but man it's crazy . Too accurate it was made to counter bubble head syndrome . But now it's just crazy.

How many fighters can throw the 1-2 moving forward successfully.

no, parries almost ruined ufc2
althought first version of parries in ufc2 were "fun" hold parry and just watch ur fighter parry like 10strikes in row
that and endless spinning kicks, so many great memories

Not that I'm opposed to the idea but what would be the practical benefit of it over slipping like you can now?

Personally I would like to see UFC 4 give the player an incentive to start combos with something other than a jab every single time.

Head movement isnt fluid and unrealiable. Parrys are realistic. You could use the same mechanics from block counters. Why though every time someone has an idea your there to shoot it down? Are you even top 100 bro?

Parries without the freezing and counter window, yes.
