    Detailed judging criteria

I know this has been a big topic before but here’s a cool image that a MMA judge posted on reddit.

Just wanted to bring it to the Devs attention / share it with y’all

Draws should definitely be a thing. It's why there's bogus decisions. There's alot of fights I lost where it was dead even but they were forced to pick. It's kinda not fair when you fought to a draw and for no reason lose

I want to get more detailed info from Devs too.

Some info from my Guide (the all info i could find):

      3) JUDGE SCORING LOGIC (How to Win by DECISION):
If you aren't trying to finish the fight at all (i.e. holding postured down mount) - then you better make sure you weren't out struck on your feet before getting the fight to the ground.

If you weren't out struck before going to the ground - then you should clearly win the round by maintaining dominant position.

Also keep in mind there are judges that weigh grappling with different priority (in the game).

If you happen to pull a judge who doesn't weigh grappling high, it will hurt.

This unknown factor forces players to fight for a finish and makes it harder to try and game the judge scoring logic by fishing for ways to exploit it.

Ground scoring is determined by effective grappling.

Landing rabbit elbows in a position where you cannot KO your opponent is not effective grappling or striking.

You need to be threatening with GnP or submission attempts - to be considered effective.

Only count blocked strikes as landed - when Block bleed through is greater than 25%.

        Re: Detailed judging criteria

I'm sure I read somewhere that basically, the number one important thing that the game looks at when it comes to judging is damage. As a general rule, whoever does the most damage to their opponent, wins the round. Since I read that on here, I pay close attention to how much damage is being dealt, and it does seem to ring true.

Unfortunately, this hurts a lot of the lesser rated fighters, since for whatever reason, the guys who are lower-rated, tend to have lesser stamina and health stats, this makes it easier to hurt these fighters, meaning that more damage is inflicted on them easier.

There's a huge advantage to playing as a fighter who has a high power stat in this game (which yes, also rings true in real life). But because of stamina not being entirely realistic, it means that the power stat is often the most important stat in any single fight imo. In real life, the power strikers can often be outmanoeuvred and tired out. In the game, this can be done to an extent, but any competent player who isn't just winging power shots non-stop isn't going to get tired out very easily. The player using the fighter with more power, not only has a better chance of stopping the fight, but they also have a better chance of winning rounds and then a decision, because their fighters are capable of dealing more damage.

It all seemingly comes back to the stamina system.
