2 Major feutures:
- Haptic Feedback: There are tons of ways to make this customize the game to insanity! Perhaps the fighter moving in the cage, we'll be able to feel the rumble of each step, with minor haptic feedback, depending on the weight class or the build of the fighter, they'll feel heavier.
The Health Events, ohh so much to be done here!
The Power of each Strike we throw.
The angle/accuracy/efficiency/position a strike lands on us.
- Adjust the Resistance of the R2/L2 Triggers:
Just Picture this: L2/R2 will no longer be the block! Those will be the Strike Modifiers, or better yet the Strike Strength/Power Modifier we've all been wishing for!
Weaker Fighters will have the Resistance Cranked Up, making it harder for them to throw powerful shots. Stronger 1-punch-KO power Fighters, will have the Resitance low, making it easier for em to fully push the triggers and land with more power
(Note: Although unlikely and not the best way to achieve this. Perhaps a better system would be the how long you got a strike button pressed & hold, to charge a strike or quickly tap it to achieve a fast combo)
If Power Modifiers are not what the L2/R2 are gonna be, then perhaps we could get harder block, depending on hand damage or depending on wether you get rocked or the fighter's blocking stats.
Pre-emptively inputing Transition Blocks could utilize this, depending on the fighter skill it will be harder to fully push in the triggers.

Yes it sounds promising on paper and for an upcoming EA UFC 5. But keep in mind that UFC 4 is the last game on their contract. Maybe UFC won't extend with EA or maybe EA would scrap any future projects with UFC and not extend, like they have scrapped many studios they've bought before which made great games. We just have to wait and see, then think about any future installments on the PS5. And if i'm honest about it, i hope some other studio/publisher takes over, because quite frankly EA of today is incompetent in my book, lazy, ignorant about the sport and have an unfounded prioritisation, not to even mention their shady business practices. Oh and the shills of EA (game changers) don't do a decent job either. I seriously hope they prove me wrong in the next installment though.
