Oh my. If there really is a power modifier I'd be very, very happy. I never expected it to make it in. That's fantastic if true.

Okay that sounds pretty exciting but I really need to see it. That Blitz mode sounds like it could be fun to mess with.

Re: No more ultimate team according to Gameinformer

That whole article is packed with info. They confirm that the old submission mini-game is gone and replaced by two new ones. One for joint subs and one for chokes. Here’s hoping they’re using something similar to EA MMA.

I don’t get the impression that the ‘power modifier’ is the type of modifier we’ve been asking for. It sounds to me as though it’s a matter of short pressing for jab, long pressing for overhand. I could be wrong, but that’s how it sounds to me, and there has been talk of reworking controls to help new players, so that would make sense.

If I remember correctly when someone suggested here the hold button for power strikes, Martial mind said that wasn't possible, basically implying that holding the button would serve a different purpose. Might be mistaken though who knows

Not a fan of CAFs in Ranked.

Forcing archetypes on CAFs for the sake of online balance instead of actually setting ratings is also a very annoying issue and one that is entirely spawned by letting CAFs into ranked play.

I'm a bit worried about CAF stats and potential cheese. I guess the positive thing is that it doesnt split up the playerbase anymore.

I don’t have an issue with it since they’re basically confirming that the CAFs will be reasonably rated and not OP. The only issue I ever have with fighting CAFs is that most of them just max out the stats and moves. At least this way, it’ll be fair and fun to play against.
