im pretending nothing, i specifically said that depending what hes actually responsible for, but if he is then the blame/criticism can be justified, if not, then obviously it does not apply to him.

I'm curious what will happen now given the fact that he's left the project? Will they still keep improving patching the game in a similar manner you guys think?

Exactly, he was like a bridge between us and the devs. Will we get someone as accessible as him? I doubt it.

There will be patches. I dont know if it will be the same as when Geoff was running it but I'm hopeful.

Honestly, the fact that this former dev is loved by many or few has no impact on my opinion.

I am not trolling either, if we are being honest these UFC games, like many of EA sports titles, fall short of what they could be. For example:

- unresponsive controls

- poorly executed CAF options

- ridiculous amount of updates needed for table steak MMA features (remember Lyoto Machida doing powerslam takedowns, not being able to touch gloves, inability to reasonable take people down, no finishing strikes after the ko, and the list goes on and on)

- inability to find fights

And the list just never ends. This is unacceptable after this many iterations of a game. And mark my words... This will be no different.

Once again, not trolling, just basing this opinion on EVERY SINGLE EA UFC game release. Geoff is not an evil person and I am sure he is doing the best he knows how. But trust me, we can have better.

I disagreed with some of the decisions Geoff (and the team) made for the game, for sure. Heavily disagreed. But that dude deserves respect for the way he interacted and engaged (as still does) with the community. It’s clear that this game was a passion project for him and he gave it 100000% percent to make the best game he could within the confines of what he had to work with.

And hey, even if I didn’t agree with something he would often personally explain to me (and a lot of other people) why something was the way it was, and I respect that. He tried to make everyone as happy as he could within reason.

Be careful what you wish for man because it doesn’t get any better than Geoff. I’d put him up there with ANY game developer in the entire industry as the absolute best.
