In the other thread when I suggested the idea of them adding new ground positions you laughed and said that it was false hope to think that they would add more ground positions after launch, so what do you want to discuss exactly?

Of course there should be more ground positions! But when I tried to have a productive conversation with you about it you weren’t having it and said it’s hopeless, now you’re telling us to stay on topic?

GPD said that if it weren’t for the casual fans buying the game, it wouldn’t exist.

So I guess that means two things:

1) That the alternative is having no UFC game at all
2) That the more casuals are brought on board, the bigger the budget will get, and eventually we may have a chance to have some more sim/realistic gameplay options. It’s clear after nearly 4 iterations that’s not gonna happen until the game gets a bigger budget.

It’s a super tough pill to swallow. It upsets me greatly, but I get it. I personally believe deep down inside that a more sim game would sell and that difficulty and complexity isn’t automatically a turn off for gamers if it’s a rewarding experience. But EA feels a different way, and until this game can grow, we are never gonna be satisfied with what we get.

Whats with this "casuals" thing ive been seeing used as an excuse for literally every dumb decision or mistake.... WE ARE ALL CASUALS WHEN IT COMES TO THIS GAME..... there is no EA sports tournament for this game....at least none that im aware of... there are no "pro" players here... there are just those that play way after majority of people quit which usually is in a few months....thats it... thats all there is.... Just because people like myself post on forums(i guess we know how to use internet in 2020 makes us hardcore?) does not mean we arent casuals.....

This stupid "casuals" word is now used literally for everything, i dont get what "data" is telling them this, play time duration? I never even bought ufc3, im a casual too? this is just phantom data thats being used as an escape goat for bad decision making, its not the first game that has used "data" for its bad decision making.

The ground game is by far my biggest disappointment and no amount of patches can fix that. We will literally have to wait until UFC 5 for a better ground game and just hope they don't drop the ball again.

2k namely - I mean they already have WWE under their belt. I could easily see them being eager.

I don know why everyone always talks about 2K. MMA is not that lucrative like WWE is. Thats a fact. There are much more fans worldwide and trough this also more possible customers. Sure the golden era of WWF/WWE is also over but still ahead of UFC or MMA.

If someone gets a licence it will be Microsoft (to have something exclusive for nextgen) or Ubisoft that still has a kind of heart for special games.
If 2K buys it, a big if, i dont think it will be better... if i can chose i hope it stays EA wirh that doundation or Spike Chunsoft gives a try.

The thing is, we're 4 games in with this series, and it is still mediocre at best. I just don't think EA is gonna pull this off, even if we gave them 5 years to work on the next game. I'm not saying another developer will knock it out of the park on the 1st try, but EA is definitely not going to do that either.

if they wanted to keep it you would think they´d wanna do everything in their power to really make it good.I do see positives with the game like the most of us but it seems half-assed. lack of passion in a sense.

We dont know about it but the signs talk for itself. I just sayed i kind of hope it then were mostly 9-10years under this company ao every single other dev studio have to start from the scratch. Thats the most important reason and the second is, EA devs really did not mess everything up!!! Thats for sure.

Dont get me wrong guys. I as a customer an huge mma fan are not defending all rhe stuff they did wrong but i think all those complains doesent matter and dont motivate someone. Its not the employes / devs fault. Most of the time they have requirements from above from all the stake holders. And most of rhe time it means as much investment to do, to get as much profit as it goes.

All the flamers and complainers here (i was for ufc1+2 too) should not buy any of the 4 games so it would already be done after ufc1.
But we all did it and still do.😁

No matter what ufc4 will have the biggest sale of all ea ufc games and the goal is reached for EA bosses.

Probably because all the passionated devs have nothing to say in they part. Its always someone above them, thats how life works.

I mean GPD dev is definitly a reeeally ****ing passionated guy. He took ao much time after work to read all the stuff that WE all together put into the internet.

Oh I agree its the higher ups. Just wish they could think like for example tekken 7 higher ups. let the DEVS DECIDE MORE. Tekken 7 has sold MILLIONS because of quality gameplay. I know its an entirely different fighting experience but its the quality and freedom of developing a game I'm harping here.

So did you just completely disregard everything we asked for - for the last four years? While mobility was added to the clinch so much was taken away like just being able to transition to overunders or double unders. And the piece we need to blend striking and grappling together isnt there. Cage seated

Thats the problem they implement things in the game and remove other things. If its too much of a risk and other things have to be removed of the game because of it. Just leave it alone and improve on other things. Like for example fighter uniqueness. But no in ea ufc 4 every fighter moves and strikes the same way... and every fighter wrestles the same way as khabib. Same animations for everything
