I have gotten held down for long enough lol. I keep fighting people with monitors with horrible attitudes who will hold me down the whole fight then send me like 1,000 hate messages after they win. I feel like more people have monitors now for UFC 4 then they did for UFC 3.

What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
What monitor do you guys use? I'm looking for a small monitor with the fastest refresh rate possible.

You are getting hate messages from people holding you down? We must be in alternate universes because since the dawn of MMA gaming, the hate messages come from the guy being held down.

Re: What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
I literally have like 15 enemies from UFC 3 who followed me to UFC 4. They will have beaten me like 9/10 times but will cuss me out after they win. I don't get it but I wanna be able to grapple with people who use monitors finally! You are getting hate messages from people holding you down? Damn lol. Such a loving community. I have an Asus something or another with 1ms response time. I travel a ton for work and jump on random hotel tvs all the time. Don't be surprised if the slight difference doesn't change those outcomes. Not trying to be negative, but 99% is on you with or without. It is fun and a security blanket to be on good equipment however.

I have memorized all the animations and I am pretty good at noticing peoples tendencies. The people who beat me on the ground are literally denying every single move I make including fakes. I REALLLLLY don't want to buy a monitor because I watch netflix a lot on my big tv with my xbox but I am really competitive.Damn lol. Such a loving community. Re: What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
I don’t think I’ve played you on ufc 4 yet!
In particular this guy named Aaronborochov who has over 25 different Xbox accounts. He’s beaten me like a million times but still messages me and cussing me out every time we fight. I’ve blocked him but he keeps making accounts. It’s pretty sad honestly.Comment

Re: What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
Aoc 24 inch 144hz Curved 2ms response time. Its my PC monitor but it's all I use for ps4 gaming.
As someone who is a PC gamer I can tell you that that difference once you get your hands on it and start playing ,while might not be night and day,but you wont want to go back to a TV for gaming.I never did.Bought a 55 inch 4k Hisense about 3 years ago and I've probably only used it for a year.
Now most TVs response times are different. You would have to look up your model but with that being said a TV can have up to 15MS of response time ( even up to 40 - 90ms if you don't put it on gaming mode ) while a monitor can have a 1MS response time.
I see alot of people complaining about striking input delay. While I agree that it does ( especially while breaking out of the clinch) it will reduce with a low response time monitor.EAs online games done have the best response time anyways online, especially UFC.Its usually always around 70ms to 100ms ,which is basically 1 full second of input delay.Of course we cant do anything about that cause its online, but you get the point.
In my opinion it's worth it.It wont make you a better player, but it will help with input lag and you can fire off combos better, and deny transitions betterComment

No offense but there's a lot of misinformation here - first response time and input lag are not the same thing. Response time advertised with a monitor is typically the monitors pixel refresh rate which is not the input lag.Aoc 24 inch 144hz Curved 2ms response time. Its my PC monitor but it's all I use for ps4 gaming.

Most 120hz 144hz monitors don't have below 10ms input lag unless they're running at 120hz/144hz (impossible on consoles as they can't hit 120fps/144fps). Most TVs do not have a 15 ms input lag - I'd say most have around 25-50ms of input lag. The best TVs on the market for gaming now are 2019-2020 OLEDs which have 13 ms of input lag which isn't bad at all.
When you're looking for a monitor you need to figure out what it's 60hz input lag is as that's what you'll be playing in when connected to a console. It's already difficult to find out what the input lag is in general and it's especially difficult to figure it out on a refresh rate basis.
rtings.com is probably the best resource out there for this in my opinion. Displays are and have always been my personal hobby and I really enjoy them. Let me know if any of you have further questions.
Edit:
I've included what's likely your monitor to showcase your true input lag. Same as the current LG Oleds on the market which is what I game on. Not bad at all. 13ms

Re: What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
I use a SAMSUNG LCD TV from like 2008 or 2010. It does have a “game mode” built in though, which I’m pretty sure reduces response time to under 16ms. If you’re using a standard TV like me, check if it has a game mode and make sure you’re using it. Some TVs with game mode can get down to like 8ms (I think mine’s around 16ms).Last edited by Good Grappler; 08-27-2020, 09:55 PM.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: What gaming monitor do you use for UFC 4?
Dang man 15 enemies following you around??? I think they love you.
I got a $200 Asus monitor ... says 1ms response but I know it's not truly ... I should have reached out to Find The Door first no joke lol
THAT SAID it has been a great value for $200. Makes the game look better and smoother than on my 60" 1080P TV and actually provides better ergonomics.
Every ms counts but I'll probably stick with this until upgrading to a 4K monitor in a couple years for PS5 ... I'll be sure to reach out FTD lol !
Definitely glad I went the monitor route. If only so I could use my TV as my Discord chat / Twitch Stream while I play and stuff.
haha I like it ... but surprised you really don't notice much of a difference? Especially on the groundI travel a ton for work and jump on random hotel tvs all the time.
