    COMBO BREEEEEAKER! Lol

    This game is WAY too reliant on combo, combo, combo, break the block, free knockdown, rocked, TKO. SMH

    You literally CAN NOT counter fight and stick and move for NOTHING on this game. I have the fighter with higher footwork rating and still can't escape the FORWARD PRESSURE of a slower opponent??? Come on EA. Lol

    This game feels like Street Fighter featuring MMA.

    I have to use constant push kicks, lunges, head movement, clinch attacks, and takedowns to beat someone who has no idea how to play and just walks forward throwing combos.

      Which is pretty much what you'd have to do in real life if a fighter was enough of a psychopath to mindlessly march forward.

      Or you'd have to just pummel their guard. Go watch Eddie Alvarez vs Justin Gaethje. That's exactly what Alvarez did because Gaethje refused to stop moving forward, and Gaethje got knocked out.

      What do you think you should be able to do that you can't do?

          Block needs a buff, cardio needs a HUGE nerf and head movement/counter fighting as it stands is completely useless. It is hard enough to get a counter off a slipped strike because it is very unresponsive, and when you do it does pretty much no damage and your opponent walks through it.
          Not to mention you get taxed more stamina for slipping your opponenets 8 punch combo than they get for throwing it.

          Once these things get fixed and people actually get punished accordingly for their pressure the game imo will be in a much better place, at least standing anyway.

            Just watch some youtubers fight. It's back and forth, throw your combo, then hold block, throw your combo, then hold block. Turn based combo system is *** lmao! If you're lucky a strike causes a random rock. But hey, you need 5 rocks to ko your opponent. So let's start all over again.

            Man this game looks so dumb it's mind blowing. Did the devs really ever play their own game? Can someone please tell EA to show us how we are supposed to play the game? I mean on video? Dev vs. Dev maybe?

              100% Correct.

              The thing is, my opponent throws a combo, I block or evade most of it, but one punch gets through the broken block and my counter punch is considered weaker because their 3rd or 4th hook in a row lands when the first 2 were blocked and now I get rocked.

              Or the next scenario, they come forward with 1-2's and one Jab hits me and I'm stuck and can't move my head or get out of the way. It's like having quick reflexes on the sticks don't matter on defense.

              In real life, natural instinct tells you to MOVE or flinch which can make your opponent miss or make the strike glance and not land clean.

              But on UFC 4, there's no glancing strikes like Fight Night Champion, all strikes on UFC 4 are WAY too accurate. Literally like laser targeting, even if you moved your head.

              Plus head movement is way too slow and unresponsive.

                As soon as you lose any stamina it should be that anything you do will be slower and less powerful than when you have full stamina. They also need to only have one stamina bar not a short term and long term stamina bars.

                  I wish there was a combo breaker. I literally can’t figure out how to interrupt my opponents strikes with anything other than a single straight. It’s frustrating.

                    If the block was buffed, I can almost guarantee you'd hate it because then people could just walk through all your strikes as long as they're holding block.

                    Use this to your advantage. Break their block if they keep moving forward.

                    People CAN be punished for pressure, you just have to know what you're doing.

                    No sports game has ever been realistic in online head-to-head. Like, literally none. Not one. Don't blame the game for the way people play it, especially when there are definitely ways to win with realistic tactics.

                    If you're relying on your block, you're not defending properly. Causing your opponent to miss is way more effective than blocking their strikes. That's a real-life MMA fundamental.

                    If you're getting tagged, you should be looking to create space with footwork, not swaying in the pocket like you're Anderson Silva.

                      It’s so bad dude. Head movement and slips especially lateral mean nothing. Slipping a jab and countering with your own should usually interrupt a combo but boo. Still get rocked badly. The striking is awful and illogical like this entire game

                        That's not true at all. Slip straights are deadly, especially if you have someone with a high-level straight. Make sure you're slipping towards your lead leg.

                          My whole game is based off head movement and footwork as anyone who has played me can attest. the striking in this game definitely feels clunkier and you don’t cover the same amount of distance when throwing a strike like you did in 3. Feels like they reduced the forward movement compared to 3, which is fine.

                          I will disagree that you are unable to make your opponent miss though. I side stepped a stomach knee the other day and the guy went flying into the cage like ronda rousey did vs holly holm and I landed a sick counter hook and koed his ***. So far I’m unbeaten in ranked and I’ve made it to division 10 off of 10 fights.

                            Dude that just happened to me twice since I posted that. Too many times strikes don’t have stopping power off defensive maneuvers or someone just randomly starts mashing hooks or whatever dial a combo on hit
