Somehow this is almost worse than bad players who think they know enough to talk about gameplay changes. These guys get to division 20 and win a lot on quick fight. They watch ESFL events and think they can beat those players. In reality, they have no idea how large the skill gap is between them.

There is a reason we don’t see knee elbow spam in high level gameplay. Because you’ll get bodied trying to do that.

However, I do agree and have agreed that it’s a combo that should not exist.

Well when a sideways lean avoided body knees, this wasn’t too bad. But with the new patch removing that... I’ll have to see how bad it is now. I know there are many ways to deal with knee elbow spam, but I’ve relied so heavily on my absurdly good timing of the inside lean to shut it down, idk if I even know the other counters.

I’ve always viewed knee elbow spam as the tactic of choice for high level noobs. Like yeah, it’s high level mechanically, but it’s being employed by a noob. So that realization in itself is enough to not get discouraged, remain confident, and just get the W.

Like when I see someone using knee elbow spam I just tell myself “this guy probably sucks at grappling”.
