1. The Contender packs have the guaranteed 5* so yes EA let's you grind 75k or pay ~$4 for a pack. They give you the option and spending the money is a smarter move there than grinding the coins from a time standpoint. It's an incentive to spend money on a mode that is all about microtransactions. That's good business from EA.

2. "Pay to Win" is a ridiculous claim because you can avoid paying anything and grind and grind and grind and have coins for days. It will take longer than dropping $20 here and there but you can still compete and you can still get the same cards that everyone else gets. No one can drop $20 and automatically get a W or get the exact card they want.

3. The 5000 coin packs are 200 points but whatever.

4. You can grind coins and build your fighter to a respectable level playing the CPU before you ever step in and play someone with a half *** built fighter.

5. You can cry and post "Pay to Win" on everything Ultimate Team related on this forum and every forum from now until you stop playing but it won't change the fact that you either spend time or money or both in this mode and the option is there for all three just like every other UT mode in every other game.

75,000 coins takes about ~180 wins against the COMPUTER on a normal day not double points.

You can EASILY finish the computer in under 2 minutes with a 70-75 OVR fighter. If you start with 100 Fitness you can go until 70 before you need to reload.

With loading time and mashing A through the screens and quitting as soon as you register the win you can finish each fight in under 4 minutes period.

4 Minutes a fight times 180 fights is 12 hours of real time.

So it takes around 12 hours of game time to get 75,000 coins against the computer.

That is REALITY.

12 hours of insane, no nonsense, fast as possible, no menus, hyped up on coke, grinding, for 1 pack......

75,000 coins - 400 points
9,000-12,00- 400 points
5,000 coins- 200 points (x2 is 10,000 coins- 400 points)


That 75,000 dollar pack is 7.5 times more value, for the exact same price(400 coins)

If you can't see how that is pay to win... Then you're intentionally not looking.

It's not an either, or thing. You don't spend money, or, grind, or both.

If you spent money, you're objectively at a major advantage over those who haven't.

That's literally the definition of pay to win.

The amount of grinding you would have to do, to keep up with the level of value you get by spending money is beyond disproportionate, and is in no way on an equal level.

You are equating the time of grinding versus money spent on the ONE out of whack Contender Pack they post every blue moon. That pack is designed to "urge" people to buy 800 points which is why the points to coins ratio is out of proportion.

That's called good business.

There are what 3 other modes on UFC 2 that don't require you to spend a penny? No one is forcing you to play Ultimate Team and no one is certainly forcing you to cry about the ability to spend money over time grinding in the game to reap the rewards faster.

Yeah it's slap in the face from ea to release the day after I pulled it. So I basically wasted money on a free card... They should let people,who got it the reg way to trade it in for something else because it's basically useless and only give you 2000 coin which is bs having to spend money or 75k coins...
