Submissions Help

Can anyone help me with submissions? Even on beginner, I find the mini-game to get a tap out to be absolutely impossible. Am I missing something?

Have you gone through the submission portion of the "Challenges?"

I went through all ten stages about 5 times and made sure to get black belt in everything, it helped quite a bit for the submissions at least

its really just reflexs and practices, the biggest thing is to be absolutely sure you get the L stick in the right direction when it pops up to lock it in and reset the R stick chasing. (in career you can get an ability that makes it pop up quicker, making submissions easier)
