People do this all the time in UT but it doesn't make your punches all short like it does with real fighters. 90% sure it's a glitch.

I want back dashing removed completely. If it's in the game I'd like to see some different animations for it depending on the fighter. Like I've said before, it just feels very Street Fighter to me.

I wish fighters like c-mac and gunny Nelson would bounce in the game like they do in real life, for lunge backwards it would just be a hop back. A temporary stance switch would work as well for a step back animation

This is my line of thinking as well, I'd really like that. The way they have guys just do this slip and slide backwards just irritates me. I also feel like guys that back dash the whole fight should face a significant stamina hit also.

Ahhhh I'm not sure about that. If you're fighting a very aggressive player, the side dashes are necessary unless you just want to stand and bang. Cruz, Dillashaw, Condit, Guida and others don't get exhausted from their continued movement and footwork.

The backdash is dumb. Looks dumb, and to OP's point, it shouldn't magically cause your opponents strikes to slow down or shorten their range.
