What's your opinion in implementing strikes that cancel Block.
What do you guys think, would you be intrested in having strikes that cancel block?
You know, the same way where a miss-timed parry cancels the block and you have to press the button again.
Do you think having strikes like for example:simple hooks/head kicks that cause the high block to be canceled and require for the defender to reactivate it?
I remember in UFC 1,blocking required you to keep mashing the R2 button, instead of simply holding it,because it drained stamina. The devs seemed to take that stamina draining feuture out of blocking, since it causes casuals to be driven away from the game.
Maybe implement that idea to combos.Instead of having a single strike cancel the block, maybe have a combo like hook + uppercut cause damage as if the upercat was not blocked or something. In general, combos work at that logic:Strike the sides of your opponent(weather his head or body) then your next strike targeted in the middle, causes damage as if it wasn't blocked.Another example would be body hook+front/side kick to the body.
This feuture, would reward players who close the distance and know what strikes open up your opponent's defence and it would also make blocking require a bit more skill,by having to reactivate it,each time a hook cancels it,in order to block the next strike.
Obviously parrying opens you up completely and makes you very vunerable,so my guess is this idea should be tweaked,to somewhat work like that, but not be as punishing.
