Quick punches on the ground?

Could someone please elaborate how to do quick punches and heavy elbows on the ground. Especially in side control and half guard. Some online opponents execute these strikes pretty fast but I don't get the system yet. Do I have to block first or hold LS or RS in a certain position? Or is it just fighter specific. I think Edgar strikes pretty fast for example. Thanks in advance!

This has to do with ground and pound stat. Also, the perk Ground Finisher gives increased damage and speed in full mount.

No problem here with full mount. I mean side control, half guard and crucifix. Some unload the strikes pretty fast. Maybe it could be lag too? Doesn't work for me yet.

if u r going from sub side control and roll to sprawl there is a window where u can get unloaded on by flurry of strikes. L1 and RS changes it from hook to elbow to hammer fist
