Game Updates or just luck with opponents?

Popped in UFC for 2 hours Saturday night (first time since beginning of May thanks to MLB) and I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Not only was I fighting someone other than Jon Jones, but I wasn't fighting spammers. I had 12 really good, non-cheap matches, going 9-3. The striking seemed good, with nobody throwing spinning kick after spinning kick. One guy threw a handful which I blocked, and his stamina paid for it. Is this the updates, or just getting lucky by getting guys who actually want to have a real UFC fight and not a spam-fest?!?!

The patches have really helped man. I'm really enjoying the game. I still have my gripes about the stand up as most do. We need the combo multiplier to go and single strike power needs to be increased like it was in EA MMA. Also the high block should have a serious bleed through to the tune of maybe the first 2 strikes blocked still let 25% of damage bleed through and after that it should greatly increase. If we need a combo multiple on anything it should be on bleed through block from taking a combo on a block.
