All this talk on Octagon control. Cecil Peoples is only concerned with rubber guard and failed subs in the first gate. Those are what matter in MMA.

I have 100% octagon control.I've won the rounds in points. You can hear at the beginning of the video the commentator say "Carlos Condit cannot win the decision he needs a KO or a submission."

That's the problem with this. People are biased.


Your only really paying attention to your fighter the whole fight. You don't remember every little thing your opponenent did, because your controlling you.

Unless it's blatently obvious, of course you're going to think you won.

Not every time, but often (Anik pretty much always says it) the commentator will say "in that order" after listing the rules.

He probably meant your order is wrong, hence making it a list. This is the right order:
"Judges shall evaluate mixed martial arts techniques, such as effective striking, effective grappling, control of the ring/fighting area, effective aggressiveness and defense."
