Is it really latency? Online vs Offline

Is the computer's ability to escape submissions extremely overpowered?

There have been several threads similar to my question but I felt this question was unique in its own way. If not, sorry for redundancy.

So I have an issue, or question, about submissions. I definitely lose some submission battles online that seem to be due to lag or latency (I'm not sure if these are synonymous, but whatever). I get most wins submission (or ground and pound of they really make it easy).

While I win most frequently by submission, i still find it extremely difficult to beat the computer with submissions. So I'm curious if I really am losing online via lag, or is the computer's sub defense just crazy OP?

What? Even on Hard that stuff is too easy.

Maybe it's a bit difficult if u try the HARD challenge on career mode while your fighter has just started and has overall 60.That is hard to do.

But all the other times,it's pretty easy.Suprised someone complaining about it.

I tried Rory vs Maia and thought submission was easy. Getting to a position to throw submission and not getting sub attempt denied was another story.

My first sub attempt didn't get blocked, the rest did until I finished fight. It was pretty difficult to maintaine position.

That was on pro difficulty and my ground game is lackluster to say the least.

Wow. Maybe I'm just an idiot. I'm going to try this again when I get the chance. I just recall having a tough time, especially escaping, against the computer. Maybe the answer is simply that I SUCK!
Thanks guys

lag and such definitely doesn't help. I lose alot of sub battles online because I flicked the stick during lag and it doesn't advance to the next gate.

lag, nor latency, should bother you with your style of play.

When you are not quitting you literally do every spam/cheap/exploitative thing available in this game. I really think they should suspend players for your type of conduct.
