For sure glad it made sense

In my mind I sort of think as O/U and Single Collar as 'Neutral' positions

Whereas MT and D/U should be the Dominant positions (for the person in control haha)

MT certainly fills this role; you can do heavy damage, and your strikes (knees) stop transitions

D/U is part of the way there (with the diversity of takedowns and transitions) but there are no strikes at all to stop transitions, plus denial window is (smaller???) than MT clinch; at best, same length, but I swear it seems like D/U window is the smallest of all the clinch positions.

Ksearyback --- exactly! --- it can take some work to get to D/U; once you get it, you deserve to be at an advantage.

In a perfect world --- people would be trying to obtain D/U (almost) as often as they are trying to obtain MT --- but yea I'm pretty sure 95% of people always are going for MT in the clinch, rather than D/U --- I'm one of the only ppl trying to go for D/U it seems lol

So maybe I'm a bit bias

But almost everyone who has commented on this thread or a couple other threads about this in the past month or so agrees --- so I hope Devs or GCers will consider this tweak.

Increase length of D/U denial window (for dominant fighter) by about 25% and I think we'd be squared away

You're right, people go for MT clinch because they like the instant gratification from the strikes. If the game were balanced a grappler with patience should be just as dangerous with double unders as a Thai fighter in the Thai clinch. I'm with you on the objective for sure. Pummeling for a hook is tough against a good wrestler/grappler

heck yea! Guys like Johny Hendricks and Mendes are my favorite to fight w/ in this game (great wrestling/clinch; heavy hands) --- so yea I'm biased

But I still feel as if they need to give D/U a boost --- at least to wrestlers!! --- in turn maybe nerf MT for wrestlers a bit?

my Johny Hendricks ought not be able to one-shot MT Knee Robbie Lawler lmao

i'd make that trade (nerf MT for my wrestlers; boost D/U for htem) anyday
