I'm not talking about like how Magny gets dropped and instantly shoots up. The knockdowns I'm talking about the person definitely loses consciousness for a second or two and is frozen on mat unable to do anything.

That's cool you disagree
I think it would be a good addition. Ref's will stop a lot of fights after so many knockdowns. Even if the fighter is still somewhat there and wants to continue, the ref ultimately makes the decision. I wish it was more noticeable whether a knockdown is a Knockout or just somebody getting dropped.
I think that should be addressed first. As in I land a devestating knock down and the fighter always seems unconscious but then just wakes up.
I agree with your idea that if you knock somebody down a lot that the ref could call the fight. This is a real life scenario. I don't think there should be a specific number on it because it is so hard to knock somebody out but it is really easy to get 5-6 knock downs in a single fight if you don't jump in for the finish the fight. But I would like an animation where, say you drop your opponent for the 3rd time in the round and he stands up, obviously still rocked (just like in real life, think Nick Diaz vs Paul Daley where Daley got back up but just basically collapsed) and the ref steps in to call the fight.
So I agree. Don't think there should be any specific number. Also would like to see less "knockdowns" and more "knockouts". Right now you can drop a player over and over but if you do t hop into finish them, the fight is rarely over.

Nah, Edgar got knocked down many times and still went on to a draw one fight, and TKO'ing Maynard the next. Some guys have less power as well, so they might get more and not able to finish as easily.

Finish the fights needs to be a temporary speed boost, that's it!

It shouldn't take over your fighter and make it so you can only throw hooks in probably the worst animation ever.

Its honestly hampers me from finishing people more then it helps.

The knockdown animations need to be changed.

People getting KOd stiff and magically getting back up 3 seconds later makes no sense.

Not really. He was dropped, but got up, and wobbled around for about a minute. But that's exactly it. Wobbling around rocked, isn't the same as being KOd stiff.

In this game, the knockdown animations, are literally the exact same as a knockout animation.

After the 4th or 5th knockdown in a round..Yeah. Now if it's 4 or 5 in a fight total, no.
