Blocking from sub side control needs to be fixed.

The ability to choose grappling position in practice mode, as well.

Yeah, I agreed. I don't care about parry. There are huge problems than it in this game.

I Disagree.

That insanely OP, infinite force field, impervious, invincible, magic High Block is the root of all evil in EA UFC 2.

Well you guys have no clue what you are talking about then.

These 2 things are major hurdles at higher level of play.

Not to mention these are something they can fix in this game, not aiming for UFC 3 with these.

Re: Last 2 things needing to be patched

High block is not OP. I find it funny people are still complaining about this.

There's a few particular players in this game (one fairly infamous guy who considers himself Godly and seems to like knives) who will use Robbie Lawler and just throw a ton of high kicks plus jab/straights, and within a round or two if you don't constantly parry or sway out of the way your arms are so red that you can barely block your head.

High block is fine. All you have to do is mix it up to the body a little bit, especially if you're mostly having this problem after you rock someone.

You guys think you want high block to be weaker until EA actually makes it weaker and then everyone starts getting KO'ed through their block. Seriously, just mix it up more.

High block is not fine. It's very unrealistic and make no sense. It's very OP even if someone rocked. mix it up the body?? Yeah!! It's really a huge problem in the stand up of this game. Every players throwing body shot first and then an opponent get rock, he can't high block up. Finally, you get a chance that you can beat him by high striking. It's so bad. In EA UFC1, there was weak block and you couldn't regained your stamina when you are moving with high block up. I think, it's way more fun than now.

Re: Last 2 things needing to be patched

To each their own, but I think you guys would complain even more if high block was useless any time you get rocked, especially when you consider how often you get randomly rocked in this game.

Do you really want to be able to just finish your opponent with ease any time you rock them? If so you're going to lose a ton of fights that you were dominating all because your opponent got a BS rock on you.

The most common result in the UFC is the unanimous decision. People tend to survive. I see no problem with high block.
