We can likely assume close to 2,000,000 then because digital sales are almost half now. VG doesn't get those stats. Only EA, Zuffa, and their shareholders know the sales likely. I wonder how profitable it is, and if the sale isn't a way for EA to get out. They likely have a profit margin it must make to keep it going. Especially if they only had a two game mandatory deal. We don't know the details. This sale actually kind of worries me.

Unlikely. Gary Goodridge had said he would do it for free. They likely paid him though. Pride Mode alone though could have been why it was so high for breaking even. Still though, these games don't seem to be cash cows.

I guess it really depends on the deal in place and how that will be transferred. WME is all about marketing and products so losing even 1.5-2m units of marketing might not be good for them to lose out on. Even 1.5m units at $60/piece is $90m and then you start cutting up the pie from there. That's not small money. I believe WME will see the power of marketing better than Zuffa did which could be good and bad for the sport.

Pride is owned by the UFC as well as fighter likeness.

They wouldn't have to pay a extra fee for them.

Thats not true for Pride. THQ wouldve hard to pay fighters that appeared in UFC 3 and were not currently under UFC/Zuffa contract. That includes:

Randleman
Herring
Frye
Goodridge
Yvel
Sapp
Severn
Soko
Baroni
Ninja Rua
Nakamura
Gracie
Gono
Kang
Filho
Newton
Bustamante
Pulver
Aureillo

Thats 20 fighters and I promise you a fighter like Gracie/Severn/Sapp didnt come cheap.

Ok so if the UFC doesn't own their likeness (is that 100% sure?) They do own Pride, so why would THQ had to have paid extra for it?

Everything I've heard indicates that EA is happy with the sales of UFC 2. I've heard nothing to indicate that they want out. I could be wrong but I dont think EA is looking to leave.

Also lots of those guys you listed fought in the UFC before the game was made so why wouldn't the UFC have made them sign over their likeness? Unless they didn't make the contracts that way until the first game, which was 3 years after the purchase of pride
